Nu Flow

What is Nu Flow?

Nu Flow is a pipe-lining technology that enables technicians to install a liner into existing pipes and essentially provide a new sewer without any large-scale excavation. Typically, sewer projects can be extensive and costly, as they require digging up an entire yard and, potentially, a sidewalk or street, leaving the customer liable for damages and repairs. With Nu Flow, this is no longer the case. This advanced process will be used in most sewer replacement projects in the future, as it saves time, money, and inconvenience.

How Cured In-Place Pipe Lining (CIPP Lining) Works

Water and sewer pipes don’t last forever. Over time, they are susceptible to things like leaks, corrosion, or even cracks and intrusion from tree roots. In the past, repairs to water and sewer lines required extensive digging and replacement of damaged parts, which was both costly as well as inconvenient. With Nu Flow technology, your existing pipes can be relined without the mess and hassle.

Here are the steps of the Nu Flow pipe relining process:

  • Pipes are inspected with a camera and thoroughly cleaned to remove scale buildup and roots. This will create a smooth surface for the new CIPP liner to adhere to.
  • Next, the liner is saturated with a strong and durable two-part epoxy and is fed into the inside of the pipe. A rubber bladder is used to inflate the liner, pushing it up against the inside of the pipe where it will cure.
  • After curing, the bladder is removed. What is left behind is a brand new pipe inside of the old pipe.

Allow the team at Steve’s Plumbing to walk you through this process and explain why this groundbreaking technology is the best option for you and your home. Trust us with your next Nu Flow procedure. Contact us online to get started!
